It's a dangerous world out there - especially for children. It
is for this reason that Horizon USA, in conjunction with a host
of other organizations and individuals, has created the Get Identified
Safety Program.
The Get Identified concept has been in development for 10 years.
In 1993, Horizon USA launched its first Get Identified campaign
in Houston, Texas, for AT&T Cable Services, formerly TCI Cablevision.
At one event alone, over 11,000 children were fingerprinted and
registered in the safety program. The campaign's success did not
go unnoticed - Get Identified garnered scores of proclamations from
local, state and national public officials. Even the White House
recognized the campaign for its outstanding community initiative.
Horizon USA's experience with family-oriented promotions extends
far beyond the Get Identified campaign. Since its inception in 1979,
Horizon has had a strong belief in family values and is perhaps
best known for its Kids' Expo series of trade shows for nine years.
This citywide community event is the nation's largest indoor child
and family exposition and features national cable celebrities, major
family music entertainers, performers and over 300 exhibitors.
